Thanks D.....I have been a little (well alot) focused on different fish. As much as I fish, I've never had a "banner" smallie day.

Heard bout em...read about em... never had one

This time of year, you just need to float around the Hammermill in 6-12' and throw jerkbaits.  You'll have one of those days you've heard about

Hey elkmaster, what depth were you fishing in main lake? I was just there for 3 days and didn't do any good in main lake. Did well in PI bay though.

Couldnt find the smallies in the lake sat. Tried everywhere/thing I could think of. Only fish we marked were down 8 to 15' over 26 to 30' Most were on small bait schools. Got one trout of some sort(steelie I think ?) Had to resort to the bay for a dozen or so largemouth, no real size. I was humbled to say the least ! Got so foggylate afternoon on the lake I would have got lost with out the gps ! Almost trolled into the EJ and had a couple bass boats go by us that were way to close for comfort. Hats off to you fellas that found them, better luck next time to me. Going to try and figure out daughters laptop and post pic.

Got the daughter and grandson out the other day too. Fish, hotdogs and roasted marshmellows...I think he's hooked !

Eat what you catch, troll for cows.

Guys, catch of few smallies for me this weekend.  Headed to Michigan tomorrow after work for the World Festival of Beers.  I knew leaving this weekend I'd be missing some prime smallmouth fishing in the bay.  I think I'll manage though.
