I have colorized depth charts of 4 lakes
I have colorized maps of Conneaut Lake (10ft intervals), pymatuning and wilhelm (3 ft intervals) and edinboro (1 foot intervals). I am looking to exchange for map of tamarack, kinzua, or woodcock.. also looking for some locations to catch chubs and suckers. if you feel the need to downgrade me or the maps, find another post.

yes they do and you can get them on http://www.fish.state.pa.us/ find the lakes that do the structure plans they give you the depth and where and when they put in the different structure. i have them and they are great

Looks like you colored a bit outside the lines....opps. In all seriousness how do you feel a map like that would benefit anybody better than the one in the link above that actually shows the different depths in numbers. I'm just wondering in case I'm completely missing something.

conneaut lake preview.. each color is 10 ft from red to black. if you would like any of these maps, im looking for kinzua, woodcock, and tamarack.

the key to pymy and wilhelm isfinding the creek beds. structure.. if you don't know the lake at all, it's pretty informative... i guess to please you the fish must be swimming in the map... all im looking for are the maps i dont have and a few tips.. not money, not your praise, just the maps i need and some info to help my fishing... why do you care tasty?

again, in each of the maps, each color is a depth band starting from red being shallow (1,3, or 10 feet depending on the map).

So you are basically taking a topo map, coloring it in, possibly adding a couple tips to the map that someone else gave you... sounds like spot burning to me.
If anyone planned on seriously fishing any of the lakes, I am sure they would locate a regular lake topo map, and I would assume they would have a fish finder and knowledge on how to use it. I think if they were looking for the creekbeds, they could find them with a regular topo map... right?

i deciede after i saw the map tastytrout got that i would not exchange for them. Anyone who can seach the web can find these maps and better ones i respect what you are trying to do now maybe if you took your map and take out all the color and just use numbers add where they put the habitat management. The colors make them look alittle cheesy and i am not trying to be disrespectful in anyway just giving my opinion. So if you were able to take a nice contor map of the lake add the habatat improvent ment (the ones on the fish website dont give depth with the structrue) maybe add some gps points and current flows. then it would be a fishing map.

the depth bands are marked on the maps if you zoom in (originals, not preview). and yes you could color one with a crayon. i did the work for you. again, could care less about praises. i've sent these out over 50 times and most of the anglers were appreciative and offered some tips to help my fishing. before this morning there were 1600 hits to the post. the vast majority of my interactions were positive.. if i sent you info in the beginning and don't have the other maps, i would be happy to. this is a work in progress. for the record, i shouldn't have had to do all that to please some of you people. but i'm not going to sit here and pretend to be a pinata.

Toothy...to each their own. If you want to spend your time taking maps that already give you information and then coloring them so they offer even less information then by all means go ahead. I simply let other anglers know that these maps aren't worth giving up tips for. By posting "previews" of your maps you've proved my point and I'm willing to bet you shouldn't have that much interest from people trying to get those maps....they're uninformative. If you're willing to spend so much time doing what it is that you do with those maps then you might serve yourself better towards putting that effort into something that will help you. You certainly have the dedication level.

i added the color so i can easily see the lake structure on my smartphone. study the lake for areas to fish. this is not supposed to be the holy grail. jsut a view of the lake like a topo map. JEEZ.

i was only giving my opinion on how you can make thes better. I think the thought is great just needs some fine tuning. lets say you exchange these with someone who does not have a color printer and they want to print it for their boat. all they gets is a grey piece of paper. I would be happy to exchange ideas with you and maybe we can come up with a map that tops all others you are more than welcome to pm me and we can talk

HA no, just acomputer guy who likes to fish.. i personally found them informative and the color made it easier to see the lake structure, especially on my droid phone.. ihave gps and fishfinder. worked great for ice season.
