Pymy-Big Muskie

Saw it weighed and measured at the Jamestown Boat Livery today. 53 1/4" and 45 lbs. I took a not so good cell phone picture of it but I will try to download it.

OOOOOOOOOOOOO NNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOO...Another 5 page thread about another musky being kept...lol

NICE ski and I agree with TT, lets see even a not so good photo of that thing...I'll have to take a ride down there, I'm sure they took a pic of it...

I can't wait to get out and do some ski fishing...I lost one well over 50" while fishing the spillway a few weeks ago...I had 4 lb line, but before I could even tighten the drag to break it off it jumped 3 times and spooled me...definitely the largest freshwater fish I have seen in person...

The worst day hunting or fishing will always be better then the best day at school or work!

Sorry guys, still trying. downloading from my phone to my email and then to photobucket. Hopefully tomorrow. Pic does not do it justice. The guy working at the Jamestown Boat Livery took photos too. Then I believe he said he was heading up to Linesville Fish Hatchery for size verification.

I hope this doesn't turn into anything like the last thread. I hesitated to even post it but thought guys would like to know.

He caught it on a live creek chub from shore and said he has fished for them all his life. Caught lots...but only kept two. His first ever that he had mounted......and this one, which he also said he was getting mounted. He was as excited as a kid at Christmas and I congratulated him on his once in a lifetime catch.

I'm still trying on the picture. I should of had that straightened out before I posted. Sorry guys.

Ummmmm yeah??? Much deserved don't ya think? Just askin'

Its probably one of the closer ones to come to the state record in recent history, just off by about 8 or so pounds.

Here's the picture. Not a very good angle and my memory was full after this pic so I didn't get any others. Doesn't look as big here but I hope the pictures from the Boat Livery get posted sometime. The girth on this thing was unreal.

Thanks for the picture pj, but like you said....it does it absolutely NO justice.  That fish was huge and the poor ol fella that caught her looked like he was strugglin just to hold her up...

You can believe what you want.

Like I said, the picture does make it look like it's maybe 30"s and I'd be doubting too.

Many people were there. The Mercer/Crawford county Envirothon was going on at the time and lots of people were there. A PGC warden came down with a tape and measured it first before he took it over to the livery to get it weighed. I went over because I was curious to see what it would weigh. 45 on the nose.

Heck it's not my fish and I don't even know the guy but I thought guys would be interested in it being caught. I'm sure better pics will surface at some point in time. Sorry guys.

Yeah, its tough to tell by that picture for sure....laying down like that and a bad angle to to boot. 45lbs sure doesn't surprise me though. Just imagine a 54 lber!?!?!? I have a hard time believing our state record will be beat anytime soon...Thats just a true freak of nature!

That pic definately doesn't look like a big fish but at the 3 rivers muskie inc meeting this monday fish and boat commission were there and confirmed a 45lb fish was brought to the hatchery by an angler. If someone finds a better pic please post here.

Anyone still have the picture of the fish?  I tried to follow the photobucket link that puddlejumper posted above but it said it was either deleted or moved.  I'd like to see even a bad pic of this fish.

Go to the Jamestown boat livery, ask the owner to see the picture of the 45 lber and he will pull out his digital camera and show you. That's how I saw it. I highly doubt it ever makes it to the net unless someone takes a picture of that. Some guys STILL like it that way

Thats a piggy! I heard she was full of eggs too and probably would have weighed more had the guy taken it to get weighed immediately. Certainly a fish of a lifetime!
