Wilhelm Crappie

I got out briefly on saturday(my trip got cut short unexpectedly) and had little luck for crappie. Did pick an 10" crappie in approx 7 foot of water.
Just wondering if the fish are active yet? Water temps were 58 deg F.

Should be, They are active in lakes around Butler. The Gizzard Shad screwed the panfish in Wilhelm if you ask me.

I had heard that the Wilhelm crappie were on the decline just wondering if it is a worthwhile crappie lake or should I go elsewhere.

Still lot's of nice crappie in the lake. We picked up a bucket of them at the sticks near Sheaklyville monday. I am going tomorrow near the dam to see if the fish have moved down. we had a variety of sizes but we took 10 all over 10"

Was out at a locoal lake here in the SW yesterday and did well sight casting to crappie in the shallows. They are on their beds right now down here. Water temp. at the lake I was at was b/w 65 and 68 degrees.
