MinKota Trolling Motors

I have a 2002 55lb thrust bow mount. It is 5 speed and when ever I kick to high it blows a fuse. All the rest work fine. Any suggestions on cause of problem. It's a 12 volt, can it be converted to 24?

    what kind of fues? if it keeps on happening switch to a cir breaker run down to the truck stop and pick one up or the auto store also check your connections may be loose but 55lb is around the max for 12 volts

    What size wire and fuse are you using and how long is the wire run?
