OK I'll enlighten everybody. Since I have posted the date of the "One Fly" I have had numerous complaints about the amount of alcohol some people consumed during the event and unfortunately there were a couple of "incidents", and some feelings got hurt, and some fathers don't think that the excess was a good image to put in front of their wives/girlfriends and especially the children. Soooo Since I am trying to make this a family oriented event with the emphasis on inclusiveness. And because the kids are the future of our sport, and because if we peeve the wives they won't let us come play. I'm personally going to be monitiring the amount of alcohol consumed by people at the event. And if I say you're done , , YOU'RE DONE!
Now before some people get their panties in a bunch I didn't say there will be no alcohol. But I am saying we need to seriously police ourselves and I will have some people helping me in that respect. I'd hate to exclude anyone but if I have to eliminate people for the greater appreciation by all; then I will. Thus event is getting BIG, we are getting press coverage and will probably get more and the LAST thing I want to see is negative publicity caused by overindulgence. This is not something I take lightly.
And again, what you do at your campsite is your business, More power to ya. I encourage you to have a good time. BUT what you do at the event is MY business and I take it very seriously. We held a phone meeting of most of the principles involved and we all feel that limiting, but not excluding, alcohol will be for the betterment of all.

Jack, I am sorry that you have to deal with the stress of this. The event is great. You, Skip, Skip's wife, DT, and many others who help out do a fabulous job. I appreciate all that you guys and gals do to organize it.
For everyone else, please, lets make this event fun AND FAMILY FRIENDLY. There's a difference between drinking socially and just being sloppy. Hold it together for one day for the sake of the group. You can have a good time without getting blasted.
