"One Fly" date!
Gentlemen and Ladies, Since I've had quite a few questions already , , The date of the "One Fly" this year will be October 8th, the Saturday before Columbus day. Mikastorm has a special sub-event planned and he is requesting assistance with it. See is entry on the "One Fly" Suggestions posting. Thanks!

Im a little disappointed it wasn't pushed back a week or two with the guys from Healing Waters coming in. We will be totally at the mercy of the weather now. May be a tough task to show those guys a good time...

pending how the wife feels about a anniversary in erie(fingers crossed shell want to go to splashlagoon on sunday) im a tentative. but then again i dont expect you guys to change the date since you wouldnt for my wedding :P

I think MO is worried about the possible lack of water that early. We have had the event in near flood and in "almost dust". But we would like to give these guys a good shot at fish. Pray for good, early rain. Like a week before, ending Wednesday before the event and bright sunny skies the day of. We've had that three times too. So it's a best guess situation.

first day of duck again...o well, there are more days to hunt duck and only one "one fly"...

I do want to add one thing: I am going to ask that all people who sign up provide me with a good phone # or e-mail address so I can confirm attendance. Last year we had 20 folks not show and only three notified me. That ment that 17 folks didn't get to fish, cause there was a waiting list.

Sounds good Jack, Put in the vacation request for work already, so should be good for at least helping day before and after the event also. If lucky maybe available both Thursday and Friday before to help out. You have my number

Jack I have a vacation week prior to the event so Whatever you need help with I am able to help get er done.
I will also be holding the charity poker tourney again to help raise money for the land owner fruit basket appreciation donations.
This year the charity tourney will be played on October 7th the night before the "One Fly" event. I hope to see more interested in playing this year since a lot more people will be there that night. I will hold a sign up thread to help me plan on the number of players there will be at a later time.
So that puts me in for the event Jack and I will be partnered up with Steely34 again this year.

Jack thanks for the pm offer but the wife is firmly set on going to mackinac island and staying at the grand hotel. Unless a divorce happens... yesterday the fight was mainly about fishing lol
