It should be hitting it's normal springtime flow about now, after the recent flooding.

The only thing that resembles any sort of beach in Smithton is below the bridge 1/4 mile or so, where the river bends. Access it from the parking lot and cross the bike trail. Could this be it ?

I was there as well. Just wondering what other board members are members there. Who won the 50/50? I left my tickets with another member and told him to donate it back to the club if I won.

My dad went down for me (had to work, too). He said something about a fish kill. He doesn't always pay full attention and gets things mixed up, do you guys have any idea of what he was talking about??

I missed the beginning of the mtg. since it started a little early but they were showing pics of the recent Warden Mine blow-out letting loose millions of gallons of mine discharge. Not sure about a fish kill but the water did get stained pretty good out in front of the launch at Coulter. I wonder if anyone from DEP took samples of the water running into the river when that happened? If it was mainly iron oxide, for the small amount of time it let loose I find a fish kill hard to belive but there are typically acids, aluminum and other things within the mine discharge that could affect the fish.

I think the fish kill happened a while back. I don't think he was talking about this release into the river.

Wall was down before the mine water blow out. Not sure if erosion or a car took it out.

Honesty, this has been the most disappointing year for the Yough that I can remember. I fished it twice, and both times it was extremely high and had to hug shore. Most days it's been completely unfishable. It's May 09, and there are plenty of fish that cannot be fished. The water's going to start warming up soon which will turn the bite off, so it looks like almost a wasted year. I'm usually done fishing the Yough the 1st week of June.
