That report is a bit misleading. Although a lot of the ice is gone from the lake, there are large portions of the lake that are still covered...especially up north. Here's a pic of Lake Erie from 2 days ago...if you look closely you can see Pymy largely iced up.

And since we're on the subject of Pymy...what is everyone's opinion on jigging the spillway for walleye?

Right click on the image. When the box comes up, go to Properties, that box gives you the web address of the pic from Costal Watch.

2" of snow is whats happening now, well last night.  I haven't been out for a couple days now, but it seemed to have shut down with this cold moving through...I'm going to try and make it out today, but I doubt I'll be able to.  The spillway hasn't been busy either the last few days, lucky if there is 1 or 2 vehicles there, so I doubt they are doing anything either for the lack of people.

fished there today from 2-4, have to go to school, and saw some small perch caught some carp eating the sonars and a nice crappie.  nothing other then that.  Some guys said in the morning some eyes were caught but from 9 on nothing.

The perch were hitting on fat heads fished 5ft under a bobber and on a little white twister with a pink jig head tipped with wax worm under a bobber, the only crappie (3) were caught on sonars.
