Virgin - No more 3/19 to 3/21

Took a newbie to Erie this weekend and had a great time.  Float fishing with egg sacs did the trick.  The newbie got the hang of it pretty quick and landed nine fish in two days.  He missed more than he hooked but that is expected for a first timer.  CONGRATS Derek!  Plenty of fish around on Saturday and Sunday.  Most streams were in near perfect condition on Sunday.  We did well on the upper and lower Elk.  Too bad the storms blew out all the streams for Monday.  We checked everything from 20 Mile to Conneaut and nothing fishable.

    That's awesome to hear.  Last fall was my first attempt at steelhead fishing and I failed terribly.  I didn't even hook a single fish and seemed to try everything I had.  I only did get up there twice though so hopefully this will be a better year.

    Finally had time to post a few pics.  The other highlight of the trip was catching three brown trout.  It was the first trip in about 10 years that we caught brown trout.
