Muddler minnow

Hello everyone

I just tied my first muddler, and if i do say so myself it looks like a first time tie. I was wondering if there is a prefered way to weigh down a muddler. Should i wrap the shaft of the hook with lead wire or use a bead head?

    both work but I do better with a bead & do not use the deer hair head just the bead just my 2 cents but much easier to tie & a lot faster
