Great stuff everybody! Figured I would add a couple since I am planning on pursuing more flyrod pike and musky.

A lot of people talk about using trout as bait Wanted to make one up to look like a rainbow trout. Let the bashing begin for my choice of background. My foam sheets are not big enough to handle a 9 inch fly and it was the first random magazine I grabbed

Norm, That is a nice looking bunny-muddler! I'd add a stinger hook (#6) in the tail though and secure it with some 40# to the head!

Anybody ever try for them with top water flies??? I have read about it, so I tried tying up one on the advice of another forum member.

Thanks. The camera does a nice job. It's much better than it's user.

i stay away from long strips like that
- they hold a lot of water and are a pain to cast
- it will easily foul back on itself or on your leader

my opinion... there are better materials/designs for movement and profile

For tailing on "toothy critter" flys its hard to beat long strung saddle or or mag saltwater saddle or capes. If ya can find em.

Going to Maine next week. The lake is loaded with perch and pickerel/pike, none of which are huge. Flies are about 6" long.

yeah craft fur.    i was thinking about putting a wool head on one but i dont really know if i would wanna try casting that all day.  just figured it'd get real heavy and not all of us have a 10wt.
that flashabou is some sweet stuff, and i like the pink in them.  you get any toothies yet?

I got some new natural grizzly feathers that i need to dye... orange/red

i haven't really put in much time for pike/musky this year... that will change here in the early fall- hopefully

Craft fur dubbing brush made with a drill and some brassie size copper wire, colored a bit extra with markers. See the latest issue of Hatches Magazine, Nick Granato's article for instructions.

I forget what the material is in the white one, it's some kind of white fiber like antron. Head is clear cure goo. Body is mostly polar bear and ice wing fiber, tied in reverse.
