certainly something to watch out for....a quick check of the upcoming weather should give you a pretty good time to give it a try...The island I was talking about is a different island...you can actually wade in about knee high water from the bank of the river to an island out in the middle...I thought the whole area was deep (because where I fish is) but I saw a guy wade out and all around the island and never really got any deeper than waist deep when he was within 5 foot of shore

Might have been me That current can be deceiving and I would only recommend trying it when the river is on the low side. Trying it during normal springtime flows is a big no-no, unless of course you enjoy swimming with waders on in 40* water.

Thanks for the link. I think I have a general idea where this is but i'm not real familiar with the area. ORIGINAL: TastyTrout ORIGINAL: nightwolf Can somebody please tell me where Tenmile Creek (from SR 0018 downstream to SR 0019) is in terms that I can understand more easily? haha thanks Nightwolf...check out this link http://highlandpci.com/projects.html it narrows it down pretty good for you.

I have zero knowledge of that area...I just figure if you mapquest or google map the bridges listed for SR 0019 and 0019 then that will give you a good idea.

Was in my boat on that side of the island when a kid about 16 years old decided to walk out to the island, fully clothed, no waders carrying all of his gear...needless to say i felt like a tool when he came walking by effortlessyly within a few yards of my boat. Would be nice to be able to set up camp near the point of the island (closest to the dam) and fish there all night. gotta be some biggun lurking in that deep water.

i walked across to the island below 3 2yrs ago and it was nice i set up on the point built a little camp fire and just relaxed all night the eyes stopped biting after about 1130 but then the cats started and that was a fun time. but there are some critters on that island that like to move around at night. and they are not small

I got two small eyes yeterday evening at the mouth of a Mon tributary. Gonna try again this evening they were hitting out near the mudline bouncing curly tail grubs slowly off the bottom. Saw a bunch of what looked to be white bass surfacing also.
