You'll find that type of attitude around a lot of water ways if not all. I don't recall ever seeing anyone get a citation for littering. If a few citations were given out and names published with amounts of the fine it could possibly curtail the major littering problem we have, not just on the waterways but everwhere. I have a brother-in-law who lives in a southern state. His sole job for the county he lived in was to track down people that littered and often arrest them with the aid of local athorities. Fines were hefty and the information was posted on a local news blotter for all to see. Great revenue enhancement program for the county and helped to slow down littering. A little enforcement of our litter laws could go a long way in helping inprove the overall appearance of our state.

Ok, what's everyone's preferred walleye tactic? I usually throw some smaller cranks on when I'm out trolling and can't seem to find any musky. One of my biggest walleye to date out of the Allegheny was caught 8 feet from the shore though. Just past the drop off. It was pushing 24inches, but it wasn't super fat. It was surprising to catch one that size that close to shore. Later in the season I found out why. There was an absurd ammount of bait fish at that spot.

I'd rather be fishin...

I have had some good days below Emsworth Dam using dark color plastic worms of various sizes; both in the rip rap as well as off gradual shorelines.. I think i was fishing in March most of these times :/

i like rainbow trout colored lures about 5 inch long.  Also i like putting an egg sinker about 15 inch up from a hook and put a split shot there so it cant go closer to the hook and put a big fathead on it throw it out and bring it back nice and slow

i dont fish for them anymore but i will tell u guys a musky lure that walleyes and sauger seem to love..2 yrs ago i bought the watermelon chrome 8in straight depthraider to try, funny thing is the only thing that i ever caught on it was walleyes and saugers ive got so many of them on it my fishing buddies wanted to change my name to walleye maniac, so i took the lure off my leader and tossed it in the river.lol but very true.. i like the depthraiders for musky but only in normal colors . so if anyone reads this and u never tried the chrome depthraider for eyes believe me it catches them.

I don't walleye fish but a few times a year but I like to use. Chartruse jig heads with a white mister twister tippied with a small fathead minnow jig head weight depends on how fast the current is where I'm fishing

I agree Musky, I'm on spring break next week so ill defiantly be doing some fishing. Hopefully the river comes down a bit with the warmer weather the fish might start to turn on.

If i'm jigging, I like the Mr. Twisters in white. I usually put a rod out with bait too, and it usually has a creek chub 3"-6" on it.Depending on the current, I like 1/4 to 1 oz. sinker holding it down pegged about 18 inches frim the hook with a small splitty. A big juicy nightcrawler has always taken some nice fish for me also.

troll.....although I've never trolled at all down on the 3 rivers.....but they work just as good casting from shore.

I'm on the lookout for a white hot n tot with a green, blue, and yellow dots (similar to the pattern on wonder bread).  I used to have one but lost it and now can't seem to find a replacement anywhere.  If anyone comes across one please let me know!

Musky Maniac, I've had a few walleyes get snagged going after my depthraiders. Some were barely bigger than the lure, and just striking at the sides of it.

Beerman, I troll with hot n tots all the time. Hot n tots, Wiggle warts, and jointed Shad raps are my go to walleye cranks for trolling. White, Chartruse, Fire Tiger, Gold/black, and Silver/black are my favorite colors. Get em in all sizes. They work for musky too.

Tull, I troll the Allegheny a lot as it's almost at my doorstep. Even in the city, I wouldn't want to stray too far from the water.  I've had my share of luck down here. I catch more sauger than walleye, but I've pulled out some sturdy river eyes. I don't run into too many other fishermen on this stretch, and I think that plays a part in my success. I'm constantly dealing with pleasure boaters though. The current can be a challenge sometimes when trolling smaller cranks on the open river.

My dad was lucky enough to pick up a white/chart hot n tot with a rattle. He got it as a freebie from a Shimano booth some years ago and it's stamped with their logo.  It has caught me several bass, walleye, and musky. I almost lost it once on a snag. It somehow floated back up after my line snapped. Oh yea!

I'd rather be fishin...
