Hi Everyone, I finally joined the board so I can give info instead of just using it! I fished Arthur yesterday. With little luck. A few small crappies. Temps we're around 55 on the Northern side with winds that made it tough to fish. The old 422 dock is still under water. I have never seen that dock so flooded. Can't they let some water out of the dam? Good fishing!

I was there with the wife today in the rain and cold. We caught 20 fish combined largemouth, perch, bluegill, and crappie. PFBC was there pulling trapnets.

Saturday was a nice day on the water. Fishing for crappie and caught 2 musky. Unreal. Never caught a musky before.

Went out Saturday and landed 18 slabs raning from 10-14 inches. Bite was slow during the day. Water temp was 60 degrees. Lots of boats out.

Had about the same luck on Saturday - but with a bunch of perch mixed in. Did better on Sunday after it quit raining.

Fished out of the 528 dock today. Water temp was 54-56 degrees. Caught. Several crappies. Made a few drifts for walleye with no takers. Main reason for going was to test out a Minkota I pilot electric motor. It works as advertised! Wow, it is a fantastic addition to the boat! It is a Power Drive 55- 12 volt.

Nice day on the lake today. Trolled for a couple hours no eyes did catch a 19 1/4 in striper. Me, my brother and a friend managed a mixed bag of bluegill and perch. Couldn't seem to find any crappie. Did get a couple big hits but unfortunatly didn't hook up on those.

I bought an I pilot too. I would recommend it to anyone - you have to save your money but its worth the investment. I use the anchor feature the most and the handheld remote is better than messing with a footpedal. Spend a LOT more time fishing. Caught another 20 crappies and lucked myself into a 20" walleye. First one I've ever caught. Thought I was snagged on the bottom but then it started moving.

Got my first Moraine walleye of the year right after dark tonight. By far the best night this year for baitfish action. Walleye was a 26 incher caught in four feet of water.

Was out on Sat. evening. Pretty good night caught a 36 inch musky, 4 pound largemouth, and a couple other smaller LMB. Caught the musky on a spinner bait using 10 lb line. Was able to get the fish in the net. I was shocked the 10 lb line held up.

I think we will be heading out there tonight. Haven't been there, is night fishing allowed? Also where are some good shore fishing spots.

Heard about a tournament next Sunday. Where can I find out more info? Are there any age restrictions? My daughter wants to be my partner.

Bass don't have to be in season to fish for bass, or to have a bass tournament.

From the PFBC site:

7. It is unlawful to conduct or participate in a fishing tournament involving the catch or attempted catch of a particular species of fish during the closed season for that species.

http://www.fishandboat.com/tourreg.htm

I think it is because the bass are technically in "possession" when they are placed in a livewell during the tournament.

How is the night bite ?  Are the stripers hitting good yet ?  Is there a certain time they are comming on strong ?  Any idea of the water temp after all this rain ?  I have some spots I want to try but thought it may be a little early since we haven't had many warm days yet.  Any info is appreciated.
Thanks in advance
