They say Paseco has nice trout. I plan to give it a try next week. Will let you know.

    Art:

Good to know you are back on the ice. Let me know when/if you are fishing Piseco and I may join you. Also, give me a shout if you and Lou decide to fish Indian Lake next week.
Hope the crappies and large northern pike are starting to cooperate on Mayfield Lake. It is amazing how large the pike are on such a small lake.

Bone:  I have never ice fished either lake, but I did hike into Fawn Lake once to try for Lake Trout and didn't have any luck.  I have heard the bass fishing in there is very good, but can't vouch for it.  Piseco Lake has good access and good numbers of small lake trout from what I have been told.  I have fished it twice during warmer weather and caught some bass but no lakers.  Canada Lake is another lake that is supposed to hold good numbers of lake trout.  I fished it once in the spring and struck out.  Are you starting to see a trend here?  :-)  Access on Canada Lake is a bit more difficult.  There is a marina there, but I don't know if they will provide access or not.  At any rate, let us know how you make out if you go.

Ed: Looks like Tues is the day for Indian. We will have to firm up with Lou over the weekend. We need to find a place to park with access to deeper water. Anyone know of a place please let us know.

canada lake is alright.  not a lot in numbers right now or size either.  ive caught some nice ones over in west lake in less than 6 foot of water.  we park at the marina and go out.  ive never caught a fish there in more than 80 feet of water.  most were caught straight out from the marina maybe 40 foot deep or so

if at first you dont succeed... blow it up.

you want organic? well then shut the &^$() up and eat a *$&#*( squirrel.

yes fawn lake is closed till april 1st but if theres ice then you can fish it then. caught 6 lakers in 3 hours in canada lake fishing around 40 feet. surprisingly all were keeper sized. caught a 19 inch smallmouth too.
