Got to agree with the Bing. Wonder how many times Doc practiced out of a stand at multiple unknown yardages ?
Maybe ole Doc just "puckered" when he missed?

Big difference shooting of your picnic table at known yardages than it is in the woods out of a treestand at unknown yardages. Probably why many Archers practice and shoot 3-D.

Your excuses that pertain to your compound have nothing to do with your miss.
You were using a crossbow.  Either not fully understanding the power of your weapon or not enough practice to be a little bit familiar with your Bolt drop..

You were only 15 feet of the ground, no need for any compensation in arrow drop.

I would like to see you fill all your tags. You need the meat and do not begrudge anyone there deer.

But to sound like you are going to do it out of spite is just plain childish....

You brought this on yourself by hammering compound users the way you do...

As far as you using what is said on this board as gospel about hunting, just remember back when 1 of the poles taken didn't come out to what you agreed with, you dismissed it beacuse "This is only a fishing board and doesn't really count."

If you would read before you type (just to jump on the let's bash doc bandwagon) you would have seen I already said It was the first time in the tree stand , plus it was not my stand but a friend who allowed me to use it after he harvested his doe and buck out of it....

You brought it on yourself Doc. Maybe in the future you will be more careful about bashing shots other folks take just because they are beyond your skill level. You also need to be careful of claiming all wounded deer are caused by slob hunters. You could very easily have wounded two yourself. You left yourself wide open for this bashing because what you were doing is by "your" definition, slob hunting. That's all from me on this subject.

That's even worst. You should of practiced out of a stand. You owe to the deer. Too many unexperienced hunters wound too many deer heading out in the field thinking they don't need to practice. I think your miss is due to lack of practice and the fact that you probably puckered. As far as bashing take any way you like. Do the sport a favor and go practice before you injure something ! As far as being an azzhole, my archery buck is in the freezer because I was smart enough to prepare before going a field. Now who's the azzhole ???
