Any 280 rem owners out there

read alot about these and wanted one...just happened to stumble acroos a browning abolt in 280 the other day and snatched it up..whats a good load?...how accurate are they? also looking for a decent scope for it if anyone is selling one!

    i have a 760 rem. 280 that i've had for
    at least 30 yrs. i never doe hunted but
    have shot 27 bucks mostly with the 280
    and i quit hunting the past 9 yrs. i love
    this cal. as it is a fast flat shooting rifle
    with hard hitting results,you can shoot a 270
    shell from it if need be but not the other way around,
    i also like the choice of bullet weights you can get
    altho my favorite is 130 gr. or 145.
    i know you'll love it.

    cool thx...dont think id ever try to shoot a 270 round from it that just scares me...lol..but look forward to seeing how it groups...putting a leupold 4.5x14 on it..so gettin real excited

    Ive used one for the last 23 years and its the ONLY rifle i use for deer.Mine is a model 700 mountain rifle and it loves the 140 grain Winchester ballistic silvertips.

    I shoot a .280 In a Sako AV it is a custom built rifle, and my favorite deer rifle out of the 13 I own. You will not be disappointed with the performance. I shoot 150 grain core-lokts. I posted a pic of a huge buck I killed on Friday with it in the big game forum.
