ORIGINAL: indsguiz It's Jolene! An if You look at it she actually out-fished over 60% of the guys too. I say it each year, that girl can flat fish. exactly! I was wondering where Jolene would stand if she were up against the guys... no offense Jolene, I just like the equality of it, I don't think girls should get an advantage/special treatment/categories/etc. just because their girls. fishing ain't football... there is nothing that gives men the advantage over women when it comes to fishing..... :)

I have an arc welder and a plasma cutter that'll go thru 3" of steel! Will that help? Also I have a 10,000 pound winch for pulling.

Tie some 50lb test line to it and on the other end add a hook and some skein. then go down to the wall and wait. I'm sure something will grab one end and pull the ring out... just like pulling a tooth...

Ladies and gentleman, we have talked about Project Healing Waters, and Jack asked if I could get in touch with them. I got in contact with: Northeast – Western NY, Western PA Ray Markiewicz, Regional Coordinator northeast@projecthealingwaters.org Well after much calling and discussing everything its come down to gathering some help. There will be 5-8 vets +1 depending on how many guides I can get. We will need to supply rods flies and lodging. Lodging for 2 nights. No wheel chair bound vets but stress related. These vets are in need of taking their minds off the horror of a traumatic time. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Tents are not an option. Guides: 1- mo You can contact me at mikastorm@hotmail.com or pm me here. Thank you...John

John, I tried to pm ya but your profile wouldn't allow me - anyway,I would appreciate it if you could post on here as soon as you know the final number of veterans that will be there. It would be an honor for me to begin work on a project for each one of them like the ones I have done for other veterans: http://forums.fishusa.com/Returning_Hero/m_386872/tm.htm The reason I need a count is I will need to order materials to complete these and I truly hope that I would be able to finish them as I have others already promised. It will be tough if it is more than 8 attending so let me know. I hate to say I'd do something and not come through - that's why when you get a final number of vets attending - to post it on here so I know what to get. Thanks so much my friend for doing this and getting this together. I really hope it all comes together. And if I see that it wouldn't be possible for me to do this - I would be more than happy to donate some flies to these people attending. Again - they are the true hero's.

John you can count on me to provide a rod and reel for at least two vets, plus flies. I'd volunteer to guide but I don't know what shape I'll be in by then.

Wanted to let those helping me to know what is expected for our vets. First its not about catching, though a nice plus, its to show them a good time and to help them forget, even if it is only for one day, about there trama. This will be on Oct 8th. at the "one fly". I know it sure helps me to be there..:) Second, the number of vets depends on how many of you great people I can get to take and share your skills and just show them a good time. No attitudes, its about them. I am putting collection jars at the local VFW...Legions..Moose....Elks..where ever, to help pay for a cabin if there are any in the area and maybe one of you locals can help me there on how much we,ll need. Or put them up in a motel. I am hoping to get 5 to eight guides to help so until I have that number down I will not know how many vets will be here. So please...anyone that wants to help as a guide let me know..Loopy? dc? dt?Paul ? Joker? Dano? I have Mo stepping up...:) Thanks , John mikastorm@hotmail.com

Update: Talked to Ray Markiewicz of Rrojecthealingwaters this morning and there will be 8 vets and 2 counsellors coming. We are working on housing and could use a few more guides and if you know of any organisation that would be willing to donate money for the lodging please knock on there door. This is so exciting for me to be able to help these vets. I can not fully tell you how much it means for me. I wish that when I got back from the war that this was around back then. The one fly is something I look forward to with great excitement and now add helping a vet to it..well..lets say I can not wait. I want to say now how much I appreciate those helping and offering help, you know who you are,..a big Thanks!
