Penn's Cr. rainbow- harvested only because it had a huge gash on the flip side- either heron or osprey

freakin triploid!

Definitely a weird looking fish, but I think she's just a spawned-out hen. I did do a quick search and triploids can be natural, but I think she was just "done".

Forgot my reel the day when I got this bow a week ago. Luckily, a friend had his back-up reel with him.

The moment of truth. Where all other things unconsciously melt away from our minds the instant a fish takes our fly. We stand there on the water with wide eyes, caught in a battle stance with an idea of confidence and hope

If you would have had "your" reel, it would be a photo of a hoover.   Thank your friend.

This may be a silly question for some of you but for someone who doesn't fly fish much maybe not.. What's the difference of the colors of the backing on each fly reel? I don't really fly fish at all i have a Reddington i think and a Caddis Creek reel something just to toy around with.. My dad is getting me a fly rod for my birthday here in december

Some's white, some's yellow, some's orange.

All the same other than that. Usually.

Sorry, Rich, no rod in this one, but rest assured the 1wt is attached to the other end.

Caught this past Saturday, yes, that's a dry fly.

It's not often that you bust ice out of your guides and then go on to take fish up top, but I enjoyed it this weekend.
