Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

ORIGINAL: capcity_tim ORIGINAL: thedrake I want a striper on the fly so bad I've only fished for stripers in the salt on one occasion, which is when I caught that fish. The guy we fished with is fly guide around the cape cod/boston area. He was a friend of the guy I went there with. The fishing was easy. Each of us caught a dozen or more fish every morning by 10am, then we'd rest our arms til the next morning. It wasn't so much the fish that beat us up, as it was several hours of double hauling 9 weights with fast sinking lines. I'm gonna take some D.I.Y trips this fall to try it on my own.
