One of my spots in the middle of Walnut has Zero steel in it. That's as of Friday.

Why say that 376? This might be one of the best times to be on lower Elk. You can toss out some chunk for nice channels. While fishing for smallies, dropbacks, and stray Manistees ( they'll take many of the same baits/flys ). There's even the chance of an odd Wallylog in the early morning, late evening.

I had one on in the tail, but gator came up and chomped on it. I went home after that.

Spoon I guess I just feel that there's so much other great fishin to be had right now-esp in Erie, that i would just as soon forget about the few if any steel that are somehow still around. But everyone has a right to their preferences. And I guess if I was fishin the tribs right now and I happened to hook a steel, I woudn't mind!
