Crooked Creek Stream - Armstrong County

Between Apollo and Indiana, PA (near Shelocta) runs Routh 56.  Along Rt 56 is a little village of South Bend where the creek makes a big bend and crosses underneath Rt 56 in 2 places.    Does anyone know if this section of Crooked Creek holds any trout or other fish?   Or is it just another polluted stream in the Kiski watershed?    I see no stocking reports on this Armstrong County stream.

    There is a little bit of everything in that section, as with most of the creek, mostly bass. They don't stock Crooked Creek with trout but they do either get washed into it or swim downstream into it.

    I've seen some nice smallies and probably a 3 or 4lb largemouth pulled out of the stream under the d a m... But not too familiar with the stream where it flows into the lake.

    Mostly mud bottom in that area. There are a few smallmouth but mostly chubs and suckers. The creek is not stocked. There are some trout in lower crooked creek toward the lake. These trout come from Cherry Run.

    Mostly smallmouth in that stretch along with some suckers. Trout are present also, they come out of Plum creek.
