Just do me and everyone else a favor    Make sure the Bass are released in deep water...  I saw a pibass tourney 2 years ago and the guys released them at the end of Lampe marina's dock...  I watched a bunch of nice Bass belly up....

Skip, your are soooooo correct. Our club uses my boat (large capicity live well) and we not only take them out on the main lake deep, we also make sure the people fishing know how to "fizz" the fish. For those that don't know the term "fizz" it is using a hollow needle to release the pressure on the swim bladder of the fish. If this is not done, a fish caught in deep water WILL die.

Looks like this tournament is in the bay only, I don't think the fish will have to be fizzed!

For those not familiar with the fizzing procedure, here's a good article.

Typically, I'm in charge of fizzing for our club tournaments.

Never fished in a bass tournament but was wondering why a scale on board and a digital camera with time and date couldn't be used. Catch the fish weigh it take a picture and release it where you caught it. I'm not talking about the bass master classic, just these local tournaments with nothing but bragging rights at stake. Seems like that would be a less harmful way of catch and release. Not trying to start a feud just a thought....
