My choices for the river: Super spook,(blue/green on top) 4 inch senko or yum dinger, (white, white silver), green pumpkin or brown tube on jig head or texas rigged, bomber a crankbait(firetiger) dives 4-6 ft., small spinner bait 1/4 oz., fluke (white) 1/4 oz. rattle trap(chrome with green back). Small jig and pig 1/4 oz.(black/blue, green /pumpkin), 4 inch texas rigged worm(green, brown, black). Pick your poison..............caught fish on all of the above......

I fish the New Ken and Tarentum area all through spring and summer and have found my best bet is a 1/16 or 1/8oz white jighead with a pumpkinseed 3"tube. Does well with bass and walleye. I use this single lure exclusively and have done quite well on it the last few years. I also like 3-4" watermelon and pumpkin gary yamamoto senko worms. They work good up at the locks. Live minnows are obviously hard to beat. This is the time of year I use them. 2 weeks ago we caught some nice smallies down there on them. Spinnerbaits are one of my favorites too. Caught my biggest bass last season on a white boo-ya spinner. Dusk fishing with poppers, jitterbugs, buzzbaits work well durning the summer time. Once the dead of summer hits it's chubs and chicken livers for the big boys of the deep. Hope this helps.

Can't go wrong with live fatheads. The following all have treated me well. Wading - 1/8 oz - 1/4 oz lead head w/ twister tail or sassy shad in just about any color. White, chartruese, pearl or black back sparkle belly, seemed to be the best. Husky Jerks and Shad Raps also produced well, but the rivers have a habit of eating lures as much as the fish do. Rebel Crawfish are great too. More in the Ohio than Allegheny, clouser minnows on the fly will sometimes out fish anything. From the boat, heavier jigs seemed to do it for me (1/4 - 1/2 oz tube jigs). Sassy shad and twister tails.

Fatheads at the dams. If you hit it at the right time, you can catch 100 white bass and sauger a day fishing right from shore. Later, smallmouths can be caught in the same locations.

3 to 4" tubes in pumpkinseed, zoom flukes baby bass color has been my best producer and 1/8oz chartruese jig with a 3" white power grub on a straight retrieve...These would be my top 3...Chug bugs, x-raps and shad raps would be 3 more baits i wouldn't go far without either..

if its live bait: creek chubs under a float produced for me this weekend as they always do night crawlers that are not balled up on the hooked.. i hook one hook in the head and tie a stinger that i put near the tail. cray fish if im not using live bait its lost of luck on tube baits anything that looks like a crayfish any type of swim bait that look like shiners shad raps popers like the 1s that storm makes and rapala make i honestly dont think there is a lure with in reason that a small wont hit had one hit a 8 inch boomer this spring and get them on 7 inch rapalas here and there too. have never fish that area but a good bet would to be to head near the dam. amd look for bait..
10% Of the fishermen catch 90% of the fish..... IT AIN'T LUCK

Start with the 9 iron and make a few good swings using the 3 elements above. Don’t overswing, just make nice easy swings. Then, pick up the driver and create the same motion and tempo. Don’t swing any harder, just focus on the elements(ishiner). Welcome to istockgolf.com for discount golf clubs!
