Bass or Panfisherman????

Does anybody on here fish for Bass or do any panfishing in Southeast PA?  Just wondering because all posts seem to be trout oriented.  If there is anybody out there please let me know because I am fairly new to fishing in the area and would like to find a good crappie lake near Pottstown.

    fish doc,

In chester county:  Marsh Creek has a pretty good panfish population  --  Struble lake has some nice crappies and walleye

Montgomery County:  Green Lane Reservoir is close to Pottstown and they have a very healthy crappie population.........when they are in close to spawn it is absolutely crazy......but, renting a boat and trolling is a good way to find some crappie--some monster largemouth bass in here too

Deep Creek Lake is also loaded with crappie............and trout, and carp.......and bass.....and the occasional tiger musky

Berks County:  Boyertown and Trout Run reservoir both have nice populations of gills.........Trout Run Reservoir has some pig gills and yellow perch........there are monster CATFISH in this body of water and some nice largemouth and smallmouth bass

Blue Marsh Reservoir has some really nice crappies and gills........stripers, walleyes, bass..........the list goes on and on

    hope that helps fishdoc

PS....almost forgot the grand-daddy of all panfish lakes:  Ontelaunee Lake
    loaded with panfish

Maiden Creek  --  the outflow of Ontelaunee Lake is loaded with panfish, plenty of gills, crappie, white perch.......smallies, carp, catfish........tons of fish to be caught in this creek

    vinny

I am trying to find info on Green Lane Reservoir.  I have heard that there is a 10 day quarantine for boats there and can't find if it is electric only or if I can run gas motor there.  Can anybody help, please.

electric only at Green Lane Reservoir...........there is a quarantine for personal boats......think 2 weeks or so...but you have to keep your boat there........they do have rentals..........at the boat launch area, you can rent a boat and put your own trolling motor on it.........I am pretty sure you can rent a trolling motor at this location....have not been there quite some time.......

The hill road access area allows you to rent a boat with or w/o trolling motors..........I think.....but you can't launch a private boat at hill road

call the park.........they can answer all your questions

deep creek lake allows you to run an electric motor.......no gas motors

very slow, new job and new baby, have really slowed my fishing for the year.  I hope to be able to get out more often in the next few weeks, and have some reports.
