First "what ya catching them on ?"

Hit up Oil Creek yesterday fro some more casting practice...
I was able to jump right in to my jellyhole under the bridge as all the other anglers were lined up downstream.. Quite a few anglers for a Friday...

I'm getting better with my casting, I was able to stick a dry to the far shoreline on Oil most of the morning..(kinda liked the idea I didn't have to wade out as far as everybody else)little confidence booster.....

Was able to see rising fish and pic off 4 Brownies on top with a #18 deer hair caddis.

As I was going to move downstream the fella below me asked me "What fly are you using?" As he was doing quite well himself and wanted to compare flies. We were about the only 2 catching at that time...WooooHooo for the newb....

Worked downstream for an hour or so and came back to the bridge and fished with 3 older gentlemen I had met the day before...
They took a break and just sat and watched for a while..I picked up a couple more on top....

As I was leaving I stopped to chat with them...
They asked what fly I was using and one gentleman opened his box and asked me what looked good....wow another woooohoooo for the newb..
Luckily I had just tied up 2 dozen of those little beauties the night before, so I broke out the box and turned them on to a few...Another woohoo for the newb tyer....

Never did get their names but if you gents are on here I'll share a drift with ya anytime and keep a hold of that wading staff it doesn't float.

Your OFFICIALLY no longer a "newb".....

Unofficially....you lost your "newbness" many months ago.

Slick's right, Bings...this "Aw, shucks" thing has to go...Young Skywalker has become the Yoda.

Catches fish all the time does he.

    I'll second that!!!!!!!
