crappies are biting

Just like I said "Time to get on the chest waders and roll up on the ice!".  This is what happens each Spring as the crappies come in to spawn off that area.  Once on the ice it is fine, but the problem is getting on and off the ice at the shoreline.  Rain won't help, but will keep the holes open.

fish now or anybody, just starting to target these prespawn crappie iceout.. wondering about trying berkley tubes/and power bait?.. i still have a couple of jars that i never had much luck with using for trout the last few seasons.. seems too soft out of the jar and falls off the hook,, i;ve had very good success with fatheads on a slipfloat but just wondering if this powerbait works for crappie ?
