Weighted bobbers or other

Hello All!
 
To be very honest, I normally fished the wall at walnut with lures/spinners all the time. Yesterday, I started using jigs, egg sacks and skein. I noticed how everyone else was able to cast their offerings to the other side of the creek and mine would only get to the middle of the creek. I tried more weight and bigger bobbers but still could only get it to the middle. I tried Thrill weighted bobbers and already lost two of them. I find the rubber molding at the bottom of the bobbers that are suppose to hold your line onto the bobber, does not work to well. Two of my bobbers this season have been lost when I go to cast them. Here is a picture of the weighted bobbers I been using:
 
 
 
I have a 10 1/2' noodle rod and using 6lb fluro. Any help would be very much appreciated.

     Make sure your spool is filled up to capacity or close to it. Found 2 big plexiglass display cases loaded with the Thrill line-friendly STEELHEAD weighted floats & another big case slip floats in my sons room last night, must be over 700 of them  They look great for Crappie but too big for steel in them cricks.

    That's what happens when the boats move through in the middle of the channel. Also, their props can easily remove nearly any bobber.

    Like others have said, you may need more line...those props can spool you.

    You should see what all that finishin line does when it gets all clogged up in the carbonater.

    Only Zebco 33's can cast all the way across the wall of nutz....

    the heavier the float, the less sensitive it to light strikes.

    so there's always a trade off

    some things that will help have been mentioned
    Line and spooling the right amount.

    another is to spray the line  guides with silicone.
    Don't spray from float down, though, as I'm firm believer that fish can be turned off to foreign smells
