Fishing with the Grandkids

My wife and I made a trip to Kentucky for a couple of weeks and of course I had to get in a little fishing while there..

The best part of this story is we had traveled there to see my Daughter and Grandkids.. This Daughter was from my first marraige and I hadn't seen her in 20 years.. My Ex moved out of state and I had no idea where my Daughter was until my Youngest daughter found her as a surprise last fall while Worm and I were at camp... We got in contact and talked on the phone for hours and waited for the right time to meet.. I found out that I had 3 Grandchildren I didn't even know about... So this was a real emotional meeting for all of us..

First hug from my Daughter in 20 years

First Hug ever from my 2 Granddaughters

My 1 year old Grandson

Now to the fishing

We rented a pontoon boat on Lake Herrington and took the kids fishing. We didn't land any hogs but it was the best day I have had fishing in a long time

Thanks Pap for a good day

I can't make it back to the dock

i can't make it back home Pap

I had a great time and hope you guys enjoy reading a litle about our trip

Thanks for all the kind words fellas  (Getting to be a rarity in here)  We do plan on doing a lot together SOON  We are headed back down again soon and they are coming up here for Thanksgiving holiday.....

It was probably one of the hardest but easiest things I have ever done..  (Does that make sense)  LOL

Anyhow thanks again fellas  I thought for a while about sharing this on here and almost didn't  but decided this board needed a kick in the****it is headed down the wrong path in a big way..

Lets see what we can do to turn it around....  Life is too **** short to be bickering all the time....

    Go fishing?

    Wonderful stuff, Skip.

I have an unknown amount of family overseas (my maternal grandmother was 1 of, i believe 15 children) that I'll probably never know, let alone meet. Its strange in a way, but I've never met them, so I dont feel any real bond. Your situation is far more compelling, and I'm so happy for you and your family.
