Walnut creek Activity

I know I won't get much response, but here goes anyway.  I see they are filling in the boat launch entry channel on Walnut Creek.  Anyone know what's going on there?  And they are dredging the channel out.  Getting ready for the boating season I reckon.

    I sort of remember seeing about draining the basin for upgrades/repairs to the launch ramps.

    I kind of figured that they were going to drain the basin for ramp repairs.

    The only thing better than 1 day of fishing is 2 days of fishing.

    Wow.  A lot of activity at Walnut Creek mouth.  They are dredging the channel and draining the marina.

    Never happen at Elk, they don't want big boats going in there...
    The tin boat guys seem to do fine.
    Without a break-wall at the mouth, the next storm would just fill it back in anyhow...
    And those all important steel heads would get confused

    I always thought the problem was all the stuff washing down the creek and piling up there, not so much the sand and gravel washing in.
