Why is just so hard for this administration to say stuff like this? Maybe clean it up for network tv, but pretty much summed it up. Own up to mistakes, apologize and move on. Like a normal human being would do. Supposed to be a Christian movement, maybe follow what that savior teaches? Admit that running the government is complex and there will be issues. This is far from the first and sure won’t be the last that they double down on what is clearly a mistake. How anyone can trust this administration with how many times they double down on complete lies. When you have someone like yourself being honest and respond like this, there is hope that at least every supporter isn’t in the cult.

I don’t recall Genie being one of the ones that harped on every Biden issue. Others on here for sure would be calling for impeachment and it being the biggest failure of government in the history of the World. Or whatever their propaganda “news” tells them to be upset over.
The more that I think of it, the more I think Waltz was instructed to do this. It follows the cause a distraction theme this administration has always followed. They are working on Social Security with a 2 week deadline…. You know, that simple problem with an easy fix. Just like any problem this nation faces. Simple solution for everything.

According to a contact familiar with the Signal app (Army reservist who uses it on a regular basis), it is the “official” texting app for the military (and possibly other federal government) and comes preloaded on their government issued phones. It is required to be used for non classified communications because of being encrypted. It is not used for any classified communications, which requires using a different app (he mentioned the name, but I don’t recall it specifically — something like black box). As for Signal, he said that whomever originates the text group must 1) send out requests to the participants and 2) must admit those to those whom were requested to the actual conversation. He likened it to the process of a private, invitation only Zoom session where participants must be invited, then admitted by the host. In other words, there is only one gatekeeper and the others have no control over who is invited or admitted. So, I guess, the questions become — who hosted the text group? Was it one of the participants directly that invited then admitted the reporter ? Was it a staffer of one of the participants? Why was the reporter’s contact information in whomever set up the text group contact list? Why was the invitation sent out? Why were they admitted (takes a deliberate action to do so)? The questions ought to be easy to answer.

For how much of a dork Walz is, he was at least qualified to be a VP. Comparable resume of recent and past VPs. You can dislike him and policy, not like when he retired from the National Guard, but overall resume fit the position. Only a blindly loyal (cult member) would claim the same of Hegseth. I hope he does a great job, but his resume is far from any of the past Defense Secretaries. And not proving anyone wrong that the right resume matters.

It took almost a week to admit there was a mistake after pretty cut and dry evidence. He has shaken off worse with even more clear evidence, so why would he admit anything. Not his mistake of course. Firing anyone would be an admission he made a mistake. It will happen, but the news cycle will have to change. With this clown, it will be 5 cycles within a month, so could be “soon”. With the 2 week timeline for Social Security “reform” and a ton of tariffs on 4/2, no one will even remember this when the stock market crashes. Hope you guys liquidated as much as you comfortably can for the buy in.

It's wild to think about. Skipping over the member of that chat who was in Russia for a moment.
There was always this like idea that these people are just riding the coattails of trump. Whether they like him or not, they know he's a meal ticket so they go along with it.
There's few actual true believers under the MAGA umbrella - they just know what will happen if they step out against him.
Like you'd think someone to get to these levels of government and society where they are looked upon for these roles has to be, in some capacity intelligent.
But then something like this happens and it's clear as day - they absolute morons. Genuinely not intelligent. If you can't handle or understand technology - be it moving too fast, you can't learn, or won't, etc. you shouldn't be in these positions. Unbelievable.
