It’s all jobs with AI though, not just white collar’s turn. All jobs need a brain, which AI basically is an artificial one. AI added to the automated machines, especially human like, there will be no limits. See the Tesla Bot in question. There won’t be a safe job if left unchecked. It is basically taking what happened in factories, and putting it anywhere, but without the guy pushing buttons at the factory. Instead of regulating to at least slowly implement and save enough jobs for an effective economy, we are putting one of the leaders of the movement loose in the rooster house, accelerating the process likely by decades.

I was initially interested in seeing how Musk and Vivek working together in DOGE would be. You know, like many say, they are successful businessmen they likely have some good ideas. After seeing Musk take it over, if it isn’t at least concerning to people, they need to wake up. It isn’t just the government they are going to eliminate jobs from. It is all of society. Businesses/occupations passed down by generations are going to be wiped out. But yeah, it is just TDS….

The guy has the backing of just about every GOP politician. You don’t think there might be some sort of favorable automated driving legislation passed between now and the midterms? I don’t think Musk will be pushing overall AI itself, he’s more concerned on its use in his products. Musk’s are pretty focused on blue collar jobs as I originally noted. Truck driving is something like a top 5 profession in every state. That isn’t a very long term target like his Tesla Bots are, that is easily next ten year time frame if he can get favorable legislation. The most favorable legislation for AI is no legislation, which is what seems to be the path right now. If you are saying this administration shows a track record of regulating, I’d have to disagree. No doubt, some regulation is well overreaching and outdated. I’d have to think something like this might need some sort of regulations?

Personally, until they have the actual robots going out to job sites and people comfortable enough to discuss and develop plans with them, I’m pretty comfortable my profession is safe. Some of the office tools might be more refined to do less office work. But we are currently implementing new design software that is slower and more buggy than what we have been using the last 20 years. I’m not too concerned that I won’t make it to my retirement target. Unless AI takes away fishing and need for bait, I’ll be good in my retirement plans too. Further generations, maybe that universal income will happen, but I can’t see it happening.

Here ya go, DOGE cuts affecting campgrounds in PA. I knew it was only a matter of time. Bummer. I’ve camped at some of the raystown sites mentioned in this article.

I also typically camp at kinzua at least once a year. It looks like it’s still up in the air as to whether these federal spending cuts will shut down campgrounds at Morison, handsome lake or hopewell. Maybe it will just be a free for all so anybody can just camp anywhere they want in the ANF and turn it all into a garbage dump.

All the sites on the ANF are maintained by a contractor (Allegheny Site Managment).  I guess as long as their contract is funded the ANF sites should all be open.  We'll see.

No more or less than normal for Washington politicians (left and right) getting grea$ed by Big Corp, lobbyists,  and deep pocket special interests.
