NFL 2025

RIP to Craig Wolfley. Him and Tunch are probably hanging out right now. Always loved listening to those guys. They really seemed genuine in their love of the game.

Off season moves are heating up. I know the Stillers will end up 9-8 or whatever, but the past few years with Khan have made the off season so much more exciting. DK Metcalf and possibly Darrius Slay, even with question marks, give much more hope than resigning a seventh round draft pick that only plays special teams as years past.

Yeah, enjoyed Tunch and Wolf over the years. Hope they don't sign Rodgers. Would rather have Wilson than him. Pretty bad not to have a quarterback, running back or fullback. Can match a offer from another team on Warren but hopefully we get a good one in the draft that can stay healthy.

Didn't see any die off on my end of the lake yet but still a good bit of ice out there.

Only one Bluegill found dead in the yard pond. Caught a bunch of Shiners, Fatheads and four Newts from it today.

I’m not liking the Rodgers talk. The gamble with him is just too much. Well beyond his prime and seems to come with the drama they need to escape. That said, if their O line is healthy and has taken a step forward, having Metcalf and Pickens should be fun targets for any QB and open things up a ton for Fiermuth and whoever is running the ball.
I’m betting they get a pretty good RB in the draft. It is supposedly a pretty deep draft and position still seems to be undervalued. I’d love to see Jeanty drop to them, but doubt it happens and not sure they want to use a first round on RB. He is not a yinzer run you over type back, so end up being hated by most anyway. If drafting for the fanbase, Scataboe is the man to target. They might be able to get him in the third.

We screwed up when we let Conner walk.

I just had a chance to look at what is left in FA for QBs. Rodgers might be the best option. Sam Darnold was the “prized” FA and completely fell apart at the end of last season when it counted.

I have a feeling they will do similar to what they did last year. Kirk Cousins is likely going to be dumped by the Falcons similar to what the Broncos did with Wilson. Jimmy Garapolo, Marcus Mariota and a few other high round busts are available. They obviously didn’t see enough in Fields to keep him around on a very low contract for a starting QB. I sort of thought they would go that route. He is a freak athlete. And knows the system.

I'd take Ben at 43 before letting Rodgers step on the field, he is a scumbag. Omar screwed this up big time.

I think we all agree the Steelers need a quarterback. I don’t think the ones on the roster now are the answer. Roger’s???🥴 no way. Good luck finding one.

Greatness is not measured by what we have,
    but by what we give.
If I were to give our children but one thing, it would be the gift of euthusiam!

I don’t think they have one on the roster? Wilson, Fields and Allen are all free agents. They might have a practice squad guy under contract. Only a bunch of past their prime guys, early round busts, or later round guys that haven’t done more than backup are left in free agency too. So, basically all backup level guys. This years draft has no projected “rookie starter” level QBs (most years don’t though). They are comparing this year’s QBs in the draft to 2022 (Kenny Pickett year). Basically 2 guys that are borderline 1st/2nd round level, but might go top 10 picks out of no other options…

If their O line has made that step, they should have the talent to make an average QB look good. That is if they can get a good RB in the draft too. Warren is not a 3 down back. He proved that any time he got the start and extended work early in games. Najee got the ball in very predictable situations and showed. When they put Warren in the same situations he did worse. He is a very good 3rd down back. They will need to draft a starting back.
