I don’t rely on Medicare, Medicaid or VA. The DOD funding won’t be touched. Other departments are scrambling and diverting funds from their missions to find offices. Business for me is booming. I have trips set for the next three weeks and was out last week. Business is like our normal fiscal year end rush right now. If you consider being amazed by stupidity as suffering, I guess so. I’m a middle age white guy that pulled a decent chunk out of the market waiting for the Trumpcession and buy in when he tanks the market. Hopefully the suffering he promised his followers will be temporary.

As far as this business with the tariffs go I don’t pretend to know o understand much about it. I just hope President Trump knows what he’s doing. As far as I can tell he is trying to to level the playing field. Canada has some really high ones on things we export to them. IE the one on dairy products. His press secretary said they have a 250% on them!.
I wonder how much more the bickering over these tariffs will cost the consumers in this country? A few bucks here a few bucks there, it all adds up. When you’re old and on a fixed income it matters a lot. I retired in the spring of 2008. I have two relatively small pensions coming in. The amount I receive was locked in then. No cost of living. A dollar sure went a lot further in2008 than it does now. Ol’ saying. “If you watch your pennies, the dollars will take care of themselves.”
