You see Pork, Will Thomas came from well to do Westlake Texas, was 554th swimmer then decided he was a woman. Then became #1. So how is that fair to all the young women who poured money, blood, sweat and tears into it?

If you would ever read anything that I have posted on this board about the subject, you’d see that I agree 100% about men vs women. I was a collegiate athlete, average D2 level. I would have been an Olympian as a woman. I know the differences very well.

do you consider it fair play to allow those born male to compete against women in athletics?

You’re asking if it’s “fair”?

Is it fair that some people are born into wealth so they then have the benefit of better nutrition, better housing, better education, better everything?

ever heard of Lebron James?
He's a homeboy and I know his background and the  'hood he grew up in.
It ain't fair he  had such advantages growing up ...er..umm.. never mind.

I did answer your question.

Are you seriously gonna try to say “LeBron James” proves that kids who are born into poverty do not have disadvantages in basically every aspect of their lives compared to kids who are born into wealth? Is that what you saying? Because I hate to strawman ya genie, but it really really really sounds like that’s what you are saying here and that is an utterly ridiculous thing to say. So clear that up pls.

And are you seriously gonna try to say that trans kids in sports not being “fair” is a bigger problem than kids who are born into poverty?

I mean ya there are millions of poor kids in this country where every day of their lives isn’t “fair”, but hey if we could just get rid of those 10 trans athletes in the NCAA then all of our problems would be solved, right genie?

Clearly the solution is a bigger, wasteful government full of trans men, and other DEI hires…oh wait that already happened, and got voted out, bigly.

ICE NUT
Much better ways to get more gold as you say than athletics.A drive to succeed and EDUCATION. Running a football or dunking a basketball is fine but most don't have that god given talent to get their gold that way.I still believe a person can be anything they want to be or accomplish in this country in spite of their situation.

No doubt, you do a sport for the love of it. If you are one of the best, maybe a school will throw a free/discounted education. Banking on being a pro athlete is like buying lottery tickets as a retirement plan. What you are saying is proving my point though. Those that come from money have much more advantage in life than any advantage a male has over a female in sport. Their advantage starts at birth and until they die and likely ten generations after them. Look at the 1000 richest people in America. Sure, you can name a handful of those that came “from nowhere”, 99% came from 1000 of the richest parents. Hard work and drive will get you places. Which is really the lesson of athletics. Teamwork, dealing with adversity, showing respect to your competition and referees to name a few other. Working until you have absolutely nothing left in the tank and maybe end up with a $5 medal to show for it, is someone I’d hire to work for me. Can pay them squat! 😛

Here’s another one since you like to talk about what’s “fair” in sports.

I played sports when I was a kid. I wasn’t great but I wasn’t terrible. I was faster than a lot of my peers and I definitely had more natural coordination and athletic ability than many of them.

But some of them had fathers that were coaches, so they got more time on the field even tho their kids kinda sucked. Was that “fair”? When do you think Trump will draft an EO to address coach’s favoritism?

Also, I grew up in a single parent household and my father didn’t spend a lot of time hitting ground balls and taking me to batting cages. But other kids who actually had two parents had the luxury of lots of practice time, so their kids were better prepared for games. Was that “fair”?

I’ll bet there are a lot more American kids who face the kind of “unfair” disadvantages in sports that I described above, yet we are talking about the tiny number of trans athletes in this country like they are a plague on our existence?

Why is this even a thing that you all care so much about? Aren’t there real problems that deserve your attention?

If I were in Congress, I’d vote for your Anti Daddy Ball bill.

This is an epidemic. Talk to any HS athlete’s parent that doesn’t happen to be a coach and 99% would agree. Parents should be banned from coaching school teams.

To most normal people, boys play boys in sports, girls play girls…but the far radical left messed it up so bad, the new President had to say enough. This never should have gotten to this point, but yet here we are. One of many reasons the Dems lost.

You cannot say believe all women, then fail to define one, or let a dude win the sporting event. Apparently you are cool with Biden gutting Title XI.

To most normal people, something that affects 0.00001% of the people in this country is not an important enough issue to influence their vote for the president.

Unless of course, the real motivation behind bringing this up again and again and again and again and again is to deceive voters into believing it’s a much bigger problem than it really is.

you  zealots are whack'd
how would you conjure up that out of anything I said?

are you being stupid on purpose ?
Life isn't fair in general.
and there is always someone that's smarter, prettier, faster,  better angler or more privileged.
Kids should learn that that's just part of life.

MyWarI did answer your question.

 I guess I missed it?
Unless it's   "I don't know if I support it or not" was your "non answer" answer?

and then spun off to what's so fair about  privileged   kids vs  disadvantaged kids
(maybe your answer was in that rant?)
which had absolutely nothing to do with my very specific and very simple question

just to be clear, 'cause I am slow, so correct if I'm wrong.
your answer was,  you're "not sure" if physically stronger males competing against females is "fair or not"?

would you be able to decide if it was a rich privileged MTF tranny in the octagon with a chic?

It shouldn't be big deal
it's a simple cut 'n dried thing.
No, born males can't compete because they're physically stronger PERIOD!

It's you zealots making it a big deal
"normal" people agree males shouldn't be in female athletics.
It's you zealots that lost your marbles making it "a thing"

First of all, congrats to your daughter on her D1 opportunity!  That's awesome!

I live in a 4A school district with an OK to good overall athletics program.

2024-2025 school year varsity coaches with kids on the team:
Golf
Girls Soccer
Girls Tennis
Boys Hoops
Girls Hoops
Boys Rasslin
Boys Lacrosse
Softball
Cheer Advisor/Coach is a mom

If parents didn't coach school sports at smaller schools that don't have awesome athletics programs and facilities that attract highly qualified and skilled coaches, a lot of kids would miss out on a lot of opportunities and there would be no coaches, or horrendously under-qualified coaches.

When my oldest son was in 7th grade, there was no 7th grade hoops coach 3 weeks before the season started, so I stepped up.  Just finished my 9th season and coached my youngest two years ago too.  Never heard complaints that I denied other kids opportunities to get my sons more playing time.  Other than the occasional very disgruntled parents that are seemingly disgruntled about everything, I don't hear complaints about the varsity coaches who are parents either denying kids of opportunities.

Even if I was qualified to coach a varsity sport - I'm not - there's no way I'd want to because of how crazy parents can be.  If a parent has some skin in the game, wants to put up with all the other crazy parents, and try to build a program while their kid is in the program and/or help their kid and their teammates make some great high school memories, I'm all for it, even if their kid gets a little special treatment once in awhile.

I've seen a lot of parents coach varsity sports in our district in my 23 years here.  I've never seen another kid lose out on opportunities at the high school or collegiate level because a parent coach decided to cut off their nose to spite their face.

Now, if you wanna talk about how horrendous daddy ball is in travel/pay to play sports below the high school level, I can talk about that for hours!

Thanks.

For the daddy balling, like you said it is everywhere, travel, club, school. I only said school since it seems to be at least a bit more controllable with school board and other. I can see middle school with lack of coaches available. I guess small remote schools too. But I know schools around here have no issues getting coaches for any sport. The club coaching scene is loaded with coaches. If they love the sport, coach at the neighboring school of their kid. That is proof enough to me of why they are really there.
