You know, to him, the 3X Trump voters, we are just knuckle dragging Cretans on the wrong side of history. Whereas he is the highfalutin, ascot wearing, cerebral liberal.

He literally reminds me of Todd Chester from Christmas Vacation. Uber beta male, minus the wife part of course, lmao.

You forgot to tell us how much you don’t hate “the gaays” and trans people, like the other guys did.

Or are you not even trying to pretend?

The articles on the net pretty much all say how much AR-15 has grown in popularity over the last several years.

The gun shops on the net say there has been massive amounts of people not wanting them now and trading them in or selling them outright. They say it's a good time to buy the second hand ones with deals that haven't been seen before. Racks well over stocked with the demand not there.

Miss working at a sporting goods store this time of season. We would sell ammo way cheaper than you could load yourself. Bad thing is that stuff is so heavy.

I was at Grice's in Clearfield last weekend...I agree...lots of good second hand deals for 5.56...also 6.5 creed...if the US actually curbs shipments to Mexico the prices will drop even more...gonna be a real wild west here again soon.

So what do you mean by “gonna be a real Wild West here again soon?”

Does where you got this idea from, because it is doubtful that it is original thought, just repeating what was read, listened to, or watched, really think that there will be increased incidences of mass casualty events because the price of certain used firearm platforms (full disclosure, I do not own, have never owned, or desire to own, an AR platform firearm) coming down?

Do they, or you, for that matter, think that some hateful, mentally unstable, or attention seeking person is sitting around saying to themselves, “Self, I really want to be involved with a mass shooting, but, budget-wise, at less than $500 for some new platforms, I just can’t swing it. If AR’s would just come down $50 — $75, count me in, because at that price, I can be a fiscally responsible mass murder. And, if I could just get free shipping on ammo, it would be on like Donkey Kong, and I would be able to not only act out a twisted fantasy fueled by artificial hate, but get my few moments of fame in the media, particularly those focused on the tool, not the person.”

As moronic as that sounds, that is where the person who originally came up with the idea had to go first that silly of an idea/quote. No one, either two functioning synapses would put forth such an idea unless 1) they are truly that stupid, 2) have an agenda and will not let reason get in the way, and/or 3) they need to get paid to put non-stop ideas or theories, no matter how crazy.

But this the begs the question, who is dumber — the person who originally put it out there or the person who repeated it without think what it meant?

Keep in mind, “All of the above” is sometimes the answer.

Hey War --the  'other guys' here arent lying or posturing on the subject to appease your opinions. You seem very angry that people are more accepting than you think.

My reference was speaking more to the general state of the country as "The Wild West" based on the interesting state of affairs that we are currently encountering...at least that's what my handlers tell me to say.  And, since it will be the "Wild West", lots of cheap semi-auto rifles should pair nicely.

Very on brand, Todd the NPC, to blanket accuse forum posters of homophobia.

I do not hate the alternative lifestyles…keep it professional at work, all I ask.

Do whatever you want at home. Don't groom kids, too.

Cope harder, loser

Why would you state that “the general state of the country as “The Wild West” based on the interesting state of affairs that we are currently encountering?”

What exact state of affairs has some, or any similarities, to what is commonly referred to as the Wild West?

And why would less expensive AR platforms come into play?

If you are referring to the Bannon thing you posted, do you still fall for “pull my finger” as well?

Because the federal government is being somewhat dismantled/recreated and that creates an environment that is unstable, very much like the "Wild West".  I live in an area of the state that is dominated by federal jobs, I have a federal job, many, many of my friends have federal jobs.  Many of my friends work in federal law enforcement (customs, ICE, prisons, FBI).  Things are changing daily.  There is great fluidity.  I have friends that are cheering the changes, I have friends (NIH) that are horrified and I many friends that are at what I would say is the cautious stage.  Much like walking into a western town...cautious.  A great hallmark of being a first world country is "STABILITY".  There are many people right now that do not have it.

Secondly, since there is so much in-STABILITY...like a Wild West town, people get cautious, paranoid, angry, defensive and in case you haven't noticed...THIS IS AMERICA...when Americans get cautious, paranoid, angry, defensive, they generally buy guns.  Remember the Obama debacle?  Yup...sooo, cheap AR platforms fit well considering the American penchant for purchasing firearms when there is instability.  If someone can walk into a gun store and spend $500 on a pistol, rifle or AR because purchasing a gun is their reflex action to instability, which one do you think they will buy?

If I change the analogy to a "midwestern cattle town post Civil War" does that lessen the blow for you?

Generally, the "Wild West" loves itself some guns and the ARs are a pretty attractive and increasingly cheap gun.  This is America, people shoot each other...a lot.  That's all I was saying.

DG:  They may be trolling with these gestures, but that doesn't mean they're not low-life scum.  Years ago a local journalist, Salena Zito, observed that the press, in particular, took Trump literally, but not seriously.  The flip side was that Trump supporters took him seriously, but not literally.  Extending that logic to Trump's media sycophants and stand-ins, his supporters can laugh off things like nazi salutes as trolling or "just making a general point."

I'm done with slippery logic like this.  Having seen his first act and the start of 2.0, I choose to take him seriously and literally.  He and his brand don't deserve a shred of the benefit of a doubt...not even a little.
