Anyone with insider knowledge will likely make $M’s “timing the market” correctly. Wouldn’t it be nice to have this insider knowledge and claim it is “coincidence” as these crooks have been doing for decades? If this draws on, expect some really good buy in opportunities if you have the stomach for it.

The playbook was to burn it all down. Which would also include the economy. How far do they let it burn? Completely wipe out the middle class, so there is absolutely no threat to the uber wealthy? Looks like we are seeing phase 1. Imagine many others to come.

Imagine what the Republican response would be if democrats pulled something so blatantly unconstitutional as a president and a private citizen shutting down a federal agency that was created by an act of Congress.

At least we now know with absolute certainty that republicans truly do not give a shiit about the constitution. I mean we pretty much knew that before, but now we REALLY know, beyond a shadow of a doubt.

lol. Do you realize that the very first link in the Google search is a fact check that says this claim is completely inaccurate?

Why should I have to google anything tho? The burden of proof is on the person that makes the claim.

Here’s an example:

CLAIM- Joe Biden got Mexico to send 10,000 national guard troops to the border in 2021 without causing a national panic about tariffs (and for some reason MAGA culties didn’t run around screaming about “wINNnnINg!!” like rabid howler monkeys).

SOURCE FOR MY CLAIM -
https://apnews.com/articl...c0a807b371da207d34c8cc

So by all means if you have a single example of joe Biden or Barack Obama circumventing the constitution in making a political appointee then by all means share it.

So much for the left moon howling about tariffs and prices--
Both Canada and Mexico caved and made strong border agreements so Trump is holding off any tariffs for 30 days as they begin fulfilling their new promises.

I know it’s a waste of time trying to explain this to a true believer, but this is just one manufactured crisis after another. It’s political theatre.

Mexico sent 10,000 troops to the border in 2021 on the Biden administration’s request. It’s not unusual for foreign nations to do these kinds of things when the US asks them to do it. It has happened historically on many occasions.

Colombia accepted thousands of deportees during Biden’s term via commercial flights. The problem is that Trump sent them on a military plane. But Colombia was quite literally accepting planes full of deportees for many years.

Trump is just making wild threats and then asking for countries to do things they were actually doing (or would have done) anyway, and then he’s pretending he solved some major crisis.

Mexico sent 15,000 troops to the boarder under Trump's first term. Yeah nothing new there. Colombia had received 124 planes with deportees under Biden without a problem.

Trump loves to be the center of attention and be popular. One out of two is not good.

Maybe Canada and Mexico should look for all the illegal gun's the US smuggle over the borders while they are at it. Would help each of them tremendously on crime.

Trump will keep folding if he doesn't want to be sooo unpopular.

Plenty of damage is already done that the US can't get back.

Canada already made that same exact deal back in December. Can look it up. Mexico already had the 10,000 troops but she got Trump to agree on beefing up the US weapon checks.

Yes ,I remember all that.  All the lady president from Mexico wanted in return was the stop of illegal guns coming into her country.
And Canada announced their project a few months ago.
But none of that really matters. Because perception is 90% of reality.
A deal could of happened without all the drama. But Trump did it in a way that makes him look like a strong leader.
You got to hand it to him. He played it well.

LADWP, which serves the Palisades, is tied into the State Water Project. In fact they get most of their water from the SWP.
The part of the Fed aqueduct your friend in referring to gets its water from the west slope of the central Sierras, not the delta.
Although Trump does not appear to be an expert on CA’s water infrastructure, he certainly seems to understand it much better than both you and your friend combined.

I Forgot about this. My apologies. We're both so close to agreeing. With two different water projects + dams it can get confusing.
CVP vs SWP. CVP is federal controlled. SWP is State controlled. But then releases were not just from 1 point at the Tracy pump but multiple points including 2 dam releases that serve the CVP.
Hope this clears up my initial position:

He has the cult lined up ready to kiss his feet. I guess what really matters to him.

This is just typical Trump. Nothing to do with actual policy, just the typical trash of a human that he is in how he goes about things.

Same with the USAID, talk and threats to eliminate. Will likely end up trimming some budget and slight reform. Same with Dept of Education. Both of which, I think most people would be just fine reforming. Instead of using intellect, which he obviously lacks, explaining in clear terms, these funds are mismanaged, we are going to fix. Nope, it is a complete disaster, Democrats messed it all up, Obama, Biden. Muddy the waters and divide as much as possible.

While the elite take full advantage. Funny how the cult played some “coastal elite” enemy. While Trump surrounds himself with the actual coastal elite and praised for it. Talk about playing it well.

Been keeping up with updates on the reservoirs out that way for some years now. Might be the biggest problem in the US. If gets much worse there will be massive migrations of people heading our way to live. Need massive housing construction started years ago to house what has already started and will only get worse if mother nature doesn't change. Paying farmers off not to farm their land and so on.

Check out the boat ramp water decline in 22 years for our largest reservoir in the country. Power, farmers and life to live for way tooo many people depend on. Hope Trump don't open the valve all the way

None of that really matters because it didn’t come to fruition.

Since it is Super Bowl week, put this situation in football terms. (Full disclosure, not an Eagles fan, don’t watch the NFL except for Divisional round and Super Bowl.)

Eagles are down by 3. There are 20 seconds to go and they are on their own 1 yard line.

Barkley breaks free and runs the length of the field, but is tackled on the one inch line before scoring. (This would be all the things with Canada and Mexico that supposedly were on the verge of happening, but had not).

There are 2 seconds left in the game. It is score or lose. The Eagles do their Brotherly Shove and Hurts breaks the plane of the goal line with the ball and Philly wins the Super Bowl.

Does the defense that stopped KC from getting a first down to run out the clock get credit for the winning touchdown because had they given up the first instead of forcing a punt there would have been no opportunity to score that winning touchdown?

Nope.

Do the linemen who blocked both the Barkley run and the touchdown get credit for the winning touchdown since without their actions there is no touchdown?

Nope.

Does Barkley get credited with winning the game with a touchdown since without him taking it almost 99 yards to the one inch line there would possibly be no winning touchdown (anything inside the 3 has the possibility of the Brotherly Shove working, but from one inch the probability goes way up)?

Nope.

Because he did not score. He came up short. Without the ball crossing the goal line, there is no winning touchdown and the game is lost.

Could Barkley score from there?

Maybe.

But both the possibility and the probability of bad things happening, pre-snap penalty; fumble on the exchange; a defender shooting the gap and making a tackle short of the goal line because the handoff starts deeper in the backfield; are far higher than shoving Hurt across.

Could any other Eagles offensive player score from there?

Maybe.

But, again, the possibility and the probability are not high, even less than handing off to Barkley.

So who is credited with the winning touchdown?

Hurt.

Why?

Because he had the ball in his hands when it crossed the goal line.

The Eagles are happy, they just won the Super Bowl. They do not care who scored the winning touchdown. All that matters is that a touchdown was scored and the Eagles won.

Even Barkley probably doesn’t care that it wasn’t him. Would he have liked it to be? Sure. But in the end, the team winning is all that matters.

Eagles’ fans are happy, their team just won the Super Bowl. They do not care who scored the winning touchdown. All that matters is that a touchdown was scored and the Eagles won.

City of Philadelphia citizens, if they have any pride in their city (some will not care at all), don’t care who scored the winning touchdown. All that matters is that a touchdown was scored and the Eagles, a team from their city won.

Pennsylvania residents, if they have any pride in their state (again some will not care at all and still others will be disgruntled because the Steelers failed again, which has nothing to do with the Eagles except one game), don’t care who scored the winning touchdown. All that matters is that a touchdown was scored and the Eagles, a team from their state won.

So who is the cult here?

The Eagles who won and don’t care who scored the winning touchdown?

Eagles’ fans whose team won and don’t care who scored the winning touchdown?

Philly citizens whose city won and don’t care who scored the winning touchdown?

PA residents whose state won and don’t care who scored the winning touchdown?

Or, maybe, just maybe, the cult is the group that are not negatively affected or affiliated by the Eagles winning other that than Hurt scoring and Barkley not cost them a beer and bragging rights in their corner bar Fantasy Football league. They are so bitter that even though that bar is in Philly and they are an Eagles fan, it was more important that Barkley score the winning touchdown so they could be BMOC for a few minutes by their self proclaimed, exceptional, football knowledge prowess than the team whose jersey they wear in their corner bar of city in which they live wins or loses.

Would this be the cult and not the other way around?

Everything I say can be fully substantiated by my own opinion.
