Perch in the bay?

When's a good time to target the jumbo perch in the bay? April?

    When I used to target perch, we would go as soon as the ice was gone. Usually sometime in March.

    I know nothing about perch fishing in the bay, but from what I’m seeing on social media, right now sure seems like it’d be a great time to give it a shot. Crappies too.

    Usually early March through April, but with no ice out coming this year, I'd be all over the bay currently...be mobile you ll find some perch...prolly bonus crappie too and course a steelhead.

    My buddy is catching perch at Liberty Pier and bigger perch at the South Pier.
