Beginning Centerpinning Outfit?

Greeting Guys and Gals- Im new to the site and am looking forward to learning more about centerpinning. Im a steelheader from washington state and since bumping into a guy on the river that was putting on a clinic with a centerpin setup I've been wanting to learn this technique. Im a college kid so I dont have a huge budget...I've looked at The Okuma Aventa Rod and Reel combo 13'6 and the Raven Matrix Combo 12'9. Does anyone have any experience with these setups and can offer me some advice?
Thanks in advance!

Both set up's are great for any lake Erie trib. My personal opinion is to go for the Okuma Aventa rod. I prefer 13+ ft rod for even small tribs because of line management. As for reels, I would either get a Okuma Sheffield or Kingpin Kinetic. They're  both very good and budget friendly reels that you can grow into being a centerpin angler. -TIGHT LINES
