Stay away from MillCrick Mall. The shoplifters will steal your tackle. The wind blew hard and long here in Butler County last night.Looks like I need to clean up leaves for the 5th time

Ain't rilly feeshin at MillCrick Mall - was just funnin' around from another thread a few days ago.

But I am headin mup this afternoon with my boys - the oldest turns 16 Sunday - and taking an overnighter to Erie has been one of his birthday presents since he turned 8.

Prolly gonna have to scratch and claw for fish with this rapid drop in temps and high pressure.  Prolly gonna be a bit dirty on the bigger cricks most of the day tomorrow.  Everyone else should just stay home and I'll report back Sunday and tell yinz if it's worth it or not.

John, be glad to get you some egg sax at Poor Richards though.  You like 'em in orange, white or pink netting?

I hope you brought warm clothes.  I guess the global warming is not a problem any more.  Wind really blowing too.  And.... the first snow. But no fires burning down our multi-million dollar homes up here,  so I guess we're lucky. :-) Let us know how you do.

Maybe you need glasses. It's sunny and in the 50's here. That's steelhead weather.

Not when I made that post.  It was brutal out there yesterday.  AT 4 pm it was 38*, with 15 to 25 mph winds.    Might be OK for you, but not for this old guy.  Maybe 15 years ago I would go out in that.    I was surprised how nice it turned out this afternoon.

Man, if anyone crushed 'em on Elk yesterday, they are a much better fisherman than I am.

We rode the Elk Express Struggle Bus, and most everyone else I talked to was getting on board too.  Saw/talked to a couple of fly guys that were doing a little better than the masses.  Water was real dirty till late afternoon, although flows weren't too bad. Really cold too.  I haven't figgered out how to catch 'em well when that's happening.

We looked a few other places and the crowds were so big that my boys both said, "No way.  Let's see what we can scratch out of Elk."  Both of 'em landed one.  I had 3 bites all day.

Dave probably the stupid day light savings time thingy got the feech schedules off. They didn't get the memo saying, somebody changed the dates when, to set the clocks.

Like the dummy I know, who forgot to reset his clock, but don't matter cause his clock don't go all the way around, anyhow.😝

Speaking of which, I think it time to go.😬

Cold????    I guess I don't need glasses.  Oh, never mind, I already have glasses.  Glad the boys got one each anyway.  Amazing the change in weather in a week.
That's Erie, I guess.

Nope..... it snows in Erie, in the summer time.

A comment common among truck drivers traveling I-90 during the winter months.

I'd tell younz a few more comments about the PennDot road maintenance during winter but I would get a "nasty gram" about my language, from the moderators...... huh Mike? πŸ™ˆ
