So I’m guessing by the lack of reports that there wasn’t much in the way of rainfall yesterday.
Everyone busy fishing and keeping it on the low. 2019 is the year of the epic return run. So many fish in the tribs they rose the water level been like that since August.

For me it used to be the first frost that told me it was time. This was directly followed by the leaf hatch.

Try fly fishing for carp. I had one on a fly rod once on the Susquehanna in upstate NY that fought better than anything else I ever hooked, pound for pound.

Carp are good fighters especially in a river current. I've reeled in some winter Steelhead that had as much fight as a wet rag. Speaking of bathtub fishing you missed the Pig Pen fishing ...that was true bathtub fishing at it's finest !  Nice feisty fall battle....and lots of room !

still kicking, BT just not very high.... sorry for the delay in getting back But was on a "special mission" in the YooCrane... last weekend I did manage to find fish dumb enough to yawn while they swam into my hook even more unusual, my knots didn't break ... There's fish-o-plenty in the creeks I'd tell you where , but then I'd have to kill you...  ..L.T.A.

Perfect background drop. No better time then spring to target a few carp on light tackle. Nope, I can't always catch them not-so-stupid fish, either. But when I do, I prefer light tackle. Good times and tight lines.
