Lots of them left. Kinda crazy compared to how quickly they moved 10-15 years ago. Of course there were many more DMAPs this year I believe as well.

dpms, `15 yrs ago there were over 1,000,000 hunters trying for them, now only a few more than half of that. I don't think that the d-maps have much to do with it because they cost twice as much. Also there are so many more tags available now. At least in 2-b.    sam

For sure. And the hunters that still hunt are not as passionate about the sport either.

SO, if the PGC sole reason for WMUs is to better control the wildlife. Why, when it comes to the "elusive PA. White Tailed Deer", is there even a need for two different seasons let alone, different "tags"? Why not just let the "brown & downer's" buy an unlimited number of license at the sales counter for a WMU?

Hey, remember when herd control "was" the primary goal? That's when a set number of "antlerless deer tags" were available and the PGC would determine if an extended season was needed.

Well now the PGC only concern seems to be, how many tags must be sold to meet their budget. Soooo, after 3 rounds and still stuck with unsold tags the PGC says a feller only need walk into a court house for their "brown & down" fix. But dam their luck, still unsold tags so the PGC now has their foot in the door, getting the boyz primed for use of their assault style weapons to bring em down but only if, a guy has an appropriate unused "antlerless deer" tag(s) and likely, only in CWD zones..... to start.

Hey, the PGC gotta get the boyz huntin them CWD zones somehow and I betcha a guy can hunt (rapid fire style(↩edit)) over bait.

To quote a well known TV reality star "choot-em choot-em".

Hhheh hehhh.......... so what's it all about, control of the "elusive PA White Tailed Deer" or control of the (now) "elusive PA hunter's wallet"?

    You be the judge.

ummm, you'll pardon me of course, if I sound like sour grapes?

    Hunt safely.

P.S. You'll excuse the edits please. Slightly difficult sitting and thinking this morning, bit constipated.🤗

Came back from camp today to see my first round tags in the mailbox. Think that is the quickest I ever received them.

We are at a point in time that everyone that buys a general license should get one antlerless tag good for anywhere in the state. As the past few years pointed out, everybody gets their first choice anyways.

While more efficient, it would remove the county’s “cut.”

But I have no problem with that at all.
