Private Birds?

Private pheasants bought and paid for , TOTALLY, by a private club released n my area comes on my private property do I still need or should buy a pheasant stamp?

    I would guess yes, but I honestly don't know buddy.  Make a quick call to the local WCO before you go blasting those chickens with out one.  Maybe you don't need one, but better safe than sorry.

    Need?  Probably by the letter of the law

    I would say yes just like you would need a trout stamp to harvest trout from a pay or club lake which is privately stocked, if for no other reason than you would have the burden of proof and that might be difficult (unless the private birds have clipped beaks or holes in their beaks where they once wore blinders).

    Ok you guys win! 9 birds in the yard today and I left the pellet gun alone! Can't understand why the club finished turning their birds loose today. Could have turned into trout day with people standing at the ready by the trucks!

    DarDays, I do not think that you need a trout stamp or a fishing license to fish for or keep anything from a pay lake. Some of them would issue you a receipt for fish if they were out of season.  sam
