a day at kahle lake

my buddy and I spent a nice full day on kahle lake Wednesday (oct 4) using worms and minnows we boated 50 bass - all largemouth and two were over 15 (16 1/4 and 16) - but the vast majority were 12inches or less.  seems bass have taken over as we were focusing on perch (only got 3, 10-11 inches - no small ones) and bluegills/crappie (got two slab gills and maybe a dozen other smaller ones and one medium crappie).   we kept two perch and a few gills for a dinner and everything else went back.
 
was a bit disappointed about the lack of pan fish and the size of the bass but it was still a pretty good day.  this lake used to be much better for pan fish.
 
this would be a fun lake to take a kid as you can get pretty good action all around the lake just off the weeds.

i use to fish there, i live a few miles away. nice small bass lake now .the blue army has thinned it out a little bit .the large gills are far and few now, maybe it will come back.
