catching pike on the fly!

Finally pike season is here. I wanted to try something new and give fly fishing a try. It didnt take to long or me to realize that streamers are an extremely effective way to catch pike! Catching them on the fly was so different, but so much fun to do. for me, the best colour combo was white with green, but if anyone has any suggestions I'm all ears! Hope everyone else had a great opening day as well!

Super fish and on a fly rod no less. Congratulations.

    Pink/white
    Black/purple
    black/chartreuse
    white/brown

Streamers with smaller heads (like epoxy & eyes as opposed to big spun deer hair heads) & flies that are slimmer in profile than musky flies have worked better for me on pike.
