Very nice Eman, he sure had no trouble zooming in on the flash.  Good luck putting him on a stick.

Old deer aren't stupid. Not only does he have impressive headgear but the short looking legs and sagging belly indicates he's been around a few seasons. I love cam pics but have not used them the last two years. Thugs got my $200 cam and lock box last year and that sealed the deal. I'm just going old school, scout for good sign and hunt. Good luck on Mr Bigs.

Eman, Good luck with that buck. When you know one like that is around it fills every hunt with extra anticipation.
BT, My kids few years back bought me a trail camera for my birthday. We put it behind the house in our bottom woods by creek and it lasted a week. We let the land open to hunting and fishing and there is always the few you wish would stay home.

Those are very good pictures for a economy trail cam, the biggest problem I have with my Moultrie is it taking a bazzillion pictures of nothing and needing far too much time to reset the shutter for the next shot.  Battery life is good as is the range especially on night shots but I've missed good shots of following deer because of that reset thingy.

Ed as you can see from your pictures the deer and surrounding area is lit up from the glow of the IR, those LEDs glow like the end of a cigarette.   I have my camera 300 yds, behind and aimed toward my house, I can see the red glow every time the Moultrie fires which is often, cause it just likes to take pictures.

I have some good shots of deer nostrils because the IR grabs their attention and they will walk right up to the camera for a better look see.

As  for the rotten SOBs stealing, a second camera placed high in a tree aimed at the first camera or ladder stand will get some good pictures too.

My biggest issue with field cams, when your huntin' a strange area is, ya gotta watch were ya pee or..... sumpthin' else.

Good luck with that deer Ed, I hope he stays in the area for ya.
