Conneaut?

Debating with myself to fish Conneaut for bass/pike this weekend or just stay on Pymy for walleye. Looks like we'll have good weather thus far but I'm not sure if the bass have moved up shallow or if there's any sort of post spawn pike bite there this time of year. Was just wondering if anyone has been out recently and/or knows what the water temps are? I'm thinking if that's not a worthy option then the eye bite should be pretty good on Pymy anyway. Tight lines!

    Was out a couple weekends ago hitting the weeds in search of some panfish. The pike seemed to be pretty active. Caught 3 on panfish setups, one of them being fairly large. Saw numerous largemouth roaming the weeds as well. If I remember correctly, the water was in the upper 40's then, so I'd imagine it's in the lower 50's now.

    Slayer, thanks for the info! I figured with those few warm weeks we had last month the temps might have jumped up pretty good, but might have stalled out over the past two weeks with the weather we've had lately.

    Pymy is on fire for Largemouth, so is Wilhelm. Conneaut is good if your in the right place.
    A friend caught an 8lber in Wilhelm Sunday after he left the pymy Tournament where he caught a dozen there. We caught 19 fish in the Tournament.
     
    Or go to heaven and fish PIB its should be on fire this weekend.

    Zippy, thanks for the info on the bass! Was also thinking about wading the bay myself, the conditions should be perfect.

    Most of the fish in the bay were on the deep edge of the bay last week. Not saying they won't be closer now but next week will be lights out.

    After seeing the weather and the reports, think my friend and I are going to giving wading a shot. If we can't get out to where they are, I heard the largemouth are hitting well in the back bays too as a back up plan.
