Deep Creek Maryland

Hello fellas, getting ready to make my first trip down to deep creek on Friday. Just wanted to know if anyone has been there yet and to maybe find out what the ice conditions are like. Not knowing the lake i really dont want my first experience to be a big disappointment . any help would be much appreciated
