Was with a friend from Newfane yesterday. Still too warm and not enough liquid, same as the rest of the South shore.  The Oswego had water, but where I was (not fishing) we did not see anything roll, and we watched a driftboater in waders pack up and split  around noon with no indications that he had done much.  SR and the piers are still the only game, although the Gennie should start up now that the temperature is dropping.

Big G might require a giant spin and glo, squid hoothie skirt and a glob of eggs the size of your head for a couple of days after yesterdays rain although noaa doesn't show a major rise coming.

Went up about 1000 yesterday and is back down to 700 now, temp still holding around 65.  It was nearly an inch of rain and some of it was hard, but the ground was really dry, so a lot soaked in.
May take a walk this PM though.

Took the walk into the gorge yesterday PM, had not fished in 3 weeks and definitely had the itch after seeing all the DSR pix.  Water  was ~1300 and muddy for my taste (and for flies) but there were Salmon rolling from Seth Green up to the riffs, and occasionally above there.  Saw a couple of guys connect on skein, a few guys throwing single hook spoons.  Did not bring spinning rod or would have tried rapalas.  They are not in so thick that the nearshore gravel is full, but there are enough to have a chance and it will build from here. Plus all that free exercise (my legs are screaming this AM)!
